I didn't get a confirmation email from you.  What's going on?
You should have gotten a confirmation email within 24-48 hours of your order. If you have not gotten this email, it's likely that something is wrong. Either your email service is blocking our attempts to email you with a spam blocker, or the email that you provided with your order is wrong or has a typo.  In some cases, the email that you have provided cannot receive email for one reason or another. Please first check to make sure you can receive email, then check your spam blocker setting, then email us so that we can get in communication with you.

How do I setup my POP3 client software (e.g. Outlook)?
Incoming Mail Server (POP3): pop.1and1.com
Incoming Server Port: 110
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): smtp.1and1.com
Outgoing Server Port: 25
Username:  username@zbone.net      (substitute "username" with your username)
Password: your password

You must also set your software for the outgoing server to require authentication, using the same username/password combination.  Please note that some ISPs do not allow users to specify their own SMTP servers.  If this is the case, please contact your ISP for their outgoing mail server names and the proper way to setup your POP3 client software.

Where and how do I login to my webmail account?
You can login from http://zmail.zbone.net/
Note that you must enter your entire email address to login to your account (e.g. username@zbone.net).  Also, notice that the domain name is zbone.net and not zbone.com, or zbone.info.

Why doesn't my password work?
The password is case sensitive so you must type in the password exactly. For example, if your password is "AbCd", typing "abcd" or "ABCD" will not work.

Also, make sure to type the correct characters. Common errors that are made are confusing the number zero (0) for the letter "O", and the number one (1) for the capital letter "I" or lower case "L" (l).

I forgot my email address.  Can you give it to me?
You will have to email us from the email address that you registered with and provide your full name.  If you cannot email from the email address that you used originally, please provide the original email address for verification along with your full name.

I forgot my password.  Can you send it to me?
You will have to email us from the email address that you registered with and provide your full name for verification.  We will then email you your password.

How do I change my password?
Login to your webmail account.  Click on "Settings."  To the right of your email address, click on the link, "Change Password..."

You will then get a pop-up window to change your password as shown below:

Notice that if your browser is set to block pop-ups, you will have to turn off this feature.  Now enter your current password, then your new password twice, as per the pop-up window.  Note that your password must be at least 7 characters long.  Then, press "OK."

Keep in mind that this changes your password for both your webmail login password, as well as your POP3 password.

How do I get my email address and password?
When you joined Z-NET, you should have received an email welcoming you to the program, along with instructions on sending your username and password.  If you did not get this email, there's probably something wrong with the email address that you provided with your order.  Please check your email settings and email us with your full name and requested Z-MAIL username.

What is the limit on my POP3 account?
Receiving:
None.

Sending:
There is a limit on the number of emails you can send at one time of 99.

What is the limit on my webmail email account?
There is no limit to how often you can check your web based email.

Receiving:
The largest email you can receive (including all attachments) is 10MB.  If you need to receive a larger email, please use a POP3 email client (e.g. Outlook).

Sending:
The largest email you can send is 10MB.  There is also a limit on the number of emails you can send at one time of 99.

Storage:
You have 2GB of space to keep and archive your email in folders.  However, we recommend that you have a backup of all your archived email on your local computer.

Why are my email time stamps wrong?
You need to set  your local time in the webmail application. To do this, login to your account, then click on "Settings", then the "Edit" button to the right of "Mailbox".

At this point, you will get a pop-up window asking for your "Name" and Time zone.  If your browser is set to block pop-ups, you will have to allow pop-ups to get this window.  Now, if you are in Los Angeles, set your time zone to GMT -08:00, which is Pacific Time.  Press "OK."

Can I have my email forwarded?
Yes.  If you would like your zbone.net email forwarded to another account, please email us with your account information and the email address to forward to and we will make the changes to your account.

How do I close my account?
Please email us from your original email address or your Z-MAIL account to confirm that you are closing your account.  In your email, please include your full name.
